Enjoy On-site Dining at THE NICKEL

Located within Denver’s historic Tramway Building, originally opened in 1911, The Nickel pays homage to the space that was once used to collect fare from customers riding its resident streetcars: a nickel. Just as the building in which The Nickel is housed has a storied past, the dishes found on the menu at The Nickel all have a story. Led by a distinguished three-person chef team, the menu incorporates the highest quality ingredients from farmers, ranchers, distillers and craft producers, and is comprised of dishes that are easily recognizable and feel simple, but eat complex. The restaurant aims to make all guests feel the warmth of familiarity within its doors, from friendly and knowledgeable service, to the glow of a wood-fire stove, to the comforting aromas of home coming out of the kitchen. The Nickel also offers an extensive charcuterie program that features handpicked meats and cheeses from around the country, while the centerpiece of the restaurant, The Barrel Bar, offers house barrel-aged cocktails, on tap. The Nickel is located within Hotel Teatro, Denver’s original boutique hotel.

FINE EXAMPLE OF BOUTIQUE HOSPITALITY

There are a number of things that make a "boutique" property stand out...This property hits all of those markers. The staff is fabulously attentive from the bellhop to the house keepers. The space is incredibly well done. The designers were attentive to every details. The bar area is a gem. Piece by piece this property salutes it's history while bringing well designed modern demands to the discerning guest. It is also very well located near the trendy LoDo area and walkable to most of the downtown

GREAT STAFF, DELICIOUS FOOD & COMFY BEDS

My husband and I drove down from Snowmass Village for a night to see The King and I at the Buell Theater - decided to stay at the Teatro because it was so close. What a jewel we have found - we stayed on the 9th floor with a balcony, and loved that as we could get fresh air and walk outside. We really enjoyed breakfast in The Study and dinner the night before in The Nickel. The perfect place to stay downtown - and our little labradoodle loved it too! Great get away trip - we will be back!

wonderful staycation in denver

The front desk welcomed us with big smiles and made us feel at home. Everything about the hotel was amazing so we didn't have to hang out in the room, my parents were staying at a different hotel and they hung out with us pretty much the whole time! Cookies and milk late at night was amazing, especially after walking home from the Pepsi Center! Happy hour is very affordable! Also, breakfast downstairs was perfect, again my parents joined us and loved it! Hope to come back so I can drink my morning coffee with a view and maybe a cocktail in the evening!
